Balt is a brawler. He was made to fight but not exactly built mentally to like it. He just happens to love it. Well, his human part does.

Despite his brawling and provocative habit, he rarely means bad, more like friendly sparring which usually resolves in either acknowledging the other's strength or any other qualitative displayed during the physical or verbal exchange. Balt is a very caring person deep down, well, his human part is.

Once he gets to know someone, he will keep going in order to probe any afterthoughts or worries and react accordingly. If he has to console someone seriously he will not do so in a direct way nor will he try to hide it. He doesn't fear to affirm himself but he also hates losing his cool in serious moments. If it's not so serious in his view of the matter, he will tap you in the back, make an insult joke, make you drink and laugh loudly.

Fighting, competition, the less trippy drugs, cigars and alcohol. (Note: He feels the effect but cannot really get on the bad side of these since his main vital functions are supported by a very efficient life sustaining and prolonging system that includes faster elimination and a healthier processing that restore the organism thusly avoiding addiction.) (All of his addictions are purely psychological.)

He also likes lending his strength to protect the weak. (For him it is a manly thing to do. <--- Most of his pride is based around his "manliness")

Too much clothes (He does not need them since he doesn't feel pain as much nor does he gets uncomfortable from cold. Also, his engine's heat tend to make ice and snow melt unless under extreme conditions. Then he would need to put on something specifically to avoid getting his engine messed up by the cold.) Also, clothes are restrictive. (Thought he acknowledges the social sense of respect regarding not walking naked in the streets.)

He also despises his masters and aggrieving weak people that cannot fend themselves.

Balthazar was created along with two others as a part of the Varasha project. This project had for goal to track and intercept the anti-demon device codenamed Messiah.

As the synthetic mens found the said device, the three found a child. They should have killed it given their absence of emotions but of course, as they neared the infant, life was breathe into them. Thankful and pitying the child, the artificial beings decided to spare his life. One of the three was decided to take care of the child whom had no guardian.

As they slept afterwards, for the first time the three were able to dream. As if to make up for all the years they weren't able to communicate with their human soul, their first dream happened to be a mystical revelation telling them to escape their evil master and escape as far as they could go.

As the three of them parted ways in order to be more difficult to find, they destroyed anything that could have made them re-traceable. Balthazar thusly left for Underwelt. A place where no one would go look for him.

His artificial cognitive processes were greatly altered after a certain event involving the Messiah device. Sometimes, Balthazar may experience episodes where his synthetic mind will attempt to recover and come back to its master. Overcoming it always proves to be demanding but it will often leave him in a short cold state of mind that may prove terrifying even to the most apathetic demon due to his imposing stature and absence of feelings, notably the absence of fear (A sometimes prized flaw used by many creatures of dark descent).

Balt is very forgiving and warm, yet fierce, very taunting and daring. Well.. He's dangerous. His robotic structure gives him an edge in combat both physically and mentally, thusly making him confident, always jumping headfirst, yet, far from being an idiot.

Then what makes Balthazar far from being a perfect being? His humanity indeed some may have guessed. The ability to override logic and intelligence under the effect of feelings. Also his tendency towards sin. His pride, envy, lust, gluttony and even the less deadly sins can be his very downfall while facing a clever and manipulative demon.

Balt also light up with an inner glow when it gets dark and steam may come out of his mouth when he gets worked up. Often, he will drink booze to cool off his engine.

He is strong friend with his co-worker Tzilla.
